[Ground effect vehicles are fascinating. It's amazing that they are hardly used, because they're actually very efficient. A similar technology is hydrofoils. In the time of the USSR the Russians had big dreams for all kinds of fantastic technology which they ultimately never used. They liked to think big, but much of it came to nothing. However, as engineering experiments it is really fascinating and this is amazing to watch. Jan]
