A violent home invasion took place at 04:41 on 22 January 2021, in Strydom Street, Oranjeville, in the Free State province of South Africa. A couple were overpowered and assaulted in their home by three heavily armed attackers who demanded money and firearms.
The man was stabbed in the chest during the assault and died before the ambulance arrived. The attackers ransacked the home and removed an unknown number of firearms from the safe and then fled the scene in the wife’s car, a White VW Polo with registration HGX515FS.
All roleplayers responded and started a search for the robbed vehicle but there have been no arrests. The police are investigating the attack. There is no other information available at this stage.
