Here is the text:

Warden Sproul, Hello, I am writing as a private citizen to make a humble

request on behalf of one of your prisoners, Matt Hale. Right off the bat,

I’ll say truthfully that I don’t agree with all of Mr. Hale’s views, but I

do believe him to be an innocent man. Regardless of what I believe, I’m

willing to put myself out there and write this email to you myself to

request that Mr. Hale be allowed to play his violin. I hope to appeal to

your fair judgment that Matt’s playing of his violin would be a productive

and healing activity, even rehabilitative, and would likely benefit him in

a positive way and probably anybody else who might hear. Anyway, I won’t

take up any more of your time, but I’ll close by saying I think allowing

Matt to play his violin would be good for the very souls of everyone

involved. Thanks for your consideration, and I do appreciate that your

position must be very difficult and stressful at times. I salute you, sir.
