(24 Mar 1976) RR7612A RHODESIA REPORT
After surviving more than eleven years of illegal
independence and UN-imposed sanctions, Rhodesia
is now facing what looks like its most serious crisis
yet. Guerrilla activity is increasing, talks between
white and black leaders appear to be at a standstill
and the economy is now being hit by Mozambique
president Samora Machel’s decision to close his
borders to Rhodesian exports. This report back
grounds the issues.
