The fighting in Ukraine is extremely intense, and matches the worst of Bahkmut in March 2023.
Both sides are smacking each other very intensely with everything they have and they change tactics almost weekly.
The Russians have apparently tried "kamikaze" tactics in the past, by packing explosives into armoured vehicles and then pointing them at the Ukrainian lines and letting them drive forward. But they could be shot up.
Now the Russians are taking old T55 tanks, and packing them full of explosives, pointing them at the Ukrainians and letting them go, without anyone inside. One such tank exploded near the Ukrainian lines with the power of 6 tons of TNT. The Ukrainians were lucky to survive.
The Ukrainian problem has been to shoot down the excellent 2 rotor helicopters, and they are having some success. The Russians can’t produce more because those helicopters use western parts. So both sides are struggling with different problems.
