The release of the third batch of previously sealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein occurred on Friday afternoon. These 29 documents contribute further to the growing body of information about Epstein’s criminal activities, particularly how he used his connections with influential figures to recruit victims and conceal his offenses.
Ordered released by Manhattan federal Judge Loretta Preska last month, these files are part of a defamation lawsuit brought against Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Epstein’s accusers, in 2015.
The documents have revealed high-profile names of individuals who once socialized or worked with Epstein. These include former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, Prince Andrew and the late scientist Stephen Hawking. The files also contain accounts from some of Epstein’s teenage victims. One such victim, referred to as “Jane Doe 3,” recounted being approached by Maxwell in 1999 when she was just 15 years old.
“Epstein had ‘required’ the girl ‘to describe the events that she had with these men so that he could potentially blackmail them,’” the file stated.
Additionally, the same file detailed allegations of Epstein forcing the girl to have sex with Prince Andrew in at least three locations. One of these locations was Epstein’s private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where an orgy involving “numerous” underage girls allegedly took place.
These documents, now unsealed, were among thousands of pages that had already been made public but were previously redacted to block out names. More documents are expected to be released on Monday, according to sources.
