The Liberal Dreyfus Affair in France

For those who don’t know, the Dreyfus Affair was a Liberal in the French Army who was found guilty of selling French secrets to the Germans. This was in the decades long before Hitler when the Germans were themselves infested with Liberals. The French found Dreyfus guilty.
If anyone has more info on this story, I’m interested. I’ve been coming across Liberals pointing out that "obviously" the French were fools and idiots and they just nabbed the "innocent Liberal" because they were just a bunch of idiotic People.
I’m interested in this topic.
I remember learning about it at school, but I’ve never really delved into it.
I’m wondering of course whether the Liberal really was guilty or not. I’ve just never taken the time to study it more closely.
