Poll: After Capitol Riot, 50% Want Trump Removed From Office Now

In the wake of violence at the U.S. Capitol last week and a House impeachment vote this week, half of voters support removing President Trump from office before Joe Biden’s inauguration next week.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. Voters say Trump should be removed from office before January 20 because of last week’s riot at the Capitol by some of his supporters. Eighty-one percent (81%) of Democrats support removing Trump from office now, as do 23% of GOP voters and 41% of voters not affiliated with either major party.
