A 25-year old man has been arrested and booked into the Muskogee, Oklahoma County jail in connection to a mass shooting in which five children were killed on Tuesday.

Jarron Pridgeon was arrested by Muskogee Police early Tuesday morning, with one officer firing on the armed felon after he attempted to evade arrest. Police responding to reports of a shooting discovered seven individuals who had been shot at a home Pridgeon fled from. Five of the victims were children.

In particularly gruesome fashion, the youngest child that Pridgeon allegedly killed was as young as one year old. A three year old, a five year old, a six year old, and a nine-year old were also shot and killed in the mass shooting. Pridgeon’s brother, 24-year old Javarion Lee, was also found dead at the scene. The mother of the five children, Brittany Anderson, was also shot, and is in critical condition at an area hospital.

“You think mass murder with adults. When you have to put that with regards to babies, it’s tough. You can’t even imagine what would come into somebody’s mind to get to the point, whether it’s anger or whatever it may be, and we’re still working on motive,” said Muskogee Police Chief Johnny Teehee of the shooting, stating that no event such as this had happened in the community for decades.

Court records indicate that Pridgeon has a previous felony conviction for assault and battery, in addition to misdemeanor obstruction and drug convictions. Pridgeon’s criminal record prohibits him from owning a firearm.

Pridgeon has been booked into the Muskogee County Jail, and charges are yet to be filed in the mass homicide event.

This may be one of the most heinous mass shootings in the United States in recent years, although it’s unclear if the mainstream media intends to cover it. It may ultimately prove that “Black Lives Matter” in the media’s eyes insofar as they present a concise opportunity for political propaganda, and no more.

A GoFundMe has been set up by Brittany Anderson’s sibling for medical and funeral expenses following the death of the Oklahoma woman’s five children.
