Liberals & English secrecy: Explained: The secret City of London which is not part of London

This is a topic I will revisit. The weird creepy nature of Britain, which the Germans know about and have spoken of. The City of London is actually not even a part of the UK or the EU.

The article quoted below DEBUNKS the idea, however it does admit THIS:

Oddly enough, if the monarch wants to enter the City of London, she first must ask the Lord Mayor for permission.

As of the 2011 census, the City of London has a population of 8,072 and area of 1.12 square miles.
