Jan‘s Videos about Rhodesia
Here is a list of most (but not all) of my videos about Rhodesia...
I’ve been doing more research regarding Portugal’s massive wars in Africa. While doing so, I’ve been totally amazed at the scale of the Portuguese wars because Portugal fought in 3 African countries at the same time. They had 160,000 troops in these wars, which is massive if you consider that the Rhodesian army was only about 25,000 men. South Africa had a bigger army though.
I have never really studied the Portuguese Carnation Revolution. It seemed to be quick and bloodless and a COMMUNIST GENERAL took charge of Portugal overnight. I was always under the impression that the Russian KGB was involved in this. But I never really dug deeper.
I had heard that once, a Portuguese ship was a victim of some kind of terrorism. I’m not sure if the ship was seized while at sea and then sailed to Brazil. Something along those lines.
More recently, while doing research I was amazed to hear of the massive scale of intensive terrorism inside Portugal itself. There were enormous explosions and the destruction of military equipment inside Portugal. I was amazed by the scale of this internal terrorism inside Portugal. I suspect that this is related to the KGB and Communism but I was amazed by it.
Interestingly, West Germany had secret deals with Portugal and Portugal was getting military weapons and assistance from Germany, possibly the UK and even secretly from America.
It is becoming obvious to me now that a HELL OF A LOT was going on inside Portugal that I had never heard of before. There was a LOT of violence and I suspect it was communist and KGB/Russian related.
If anyone ever comes across any videos or books or details on this I’m very interested.
What I have uncovered so far is astounding me. I never knew what the Portuguese were going through. But the sheer SCALE of what was happening blew my mind.
Portugal was really in the midst of fighting for Europe in Africa actually.
