From Jan: More Power Outages in Johannesburg, BIG ONES… don’t know for how long…My Solar Experiments

Just a note: On the weekend there was an 8 hour power outage. But more problematic for me was a 12 hour Internet outage. The tower that I got my Internet from, was not functioning due to lack of power. Worse still, some time after 10pm last night the power went out in my area. And it’s been out for over 12 hours. All my neighbours, white and non-white are in chaos and nobody knows how long the power will be out! Seriously! People are phoning, leaving messages, logging calls "via the system" and nobody knows what the real problem is or how long it will take to fix.

Also, we are in the midst of the coldest spell this winter. This winter is the coldest in 9 years. In fact, water in my pipes here were frozen earlier today, which is rare. There was talk of snow, but I’m not sure. We don’t have central heating like you do.

I’m functioning off solar power. I must say, I am very pleased that I have taken the time since 2015 to experiment with Solar power. My biggest concern were batteries and their costs. However, since last year, I began to change my views on how one uses and replaces batteries, and I think I’m on to something that will really work well for me. I think I may be solving/cracking the battery problem, simply by IGNORING stuff they tell you "is the way to do it". I will see over the next 3 years if my plan works. But so far, the new method of experimenting is showing massive promise. I am almost certain that this will allow me to solve the biggest cost aspect of solar power.

All my preparations and "Plan B’s" are being thoroughly tested I tell you.

But things are definitely not good. However, the good side is that it’s forcing EVERYONE to realise that things are just FALLING APART. The black/Jewish/other races experiment is now failing big time. The system no longer "responds".

I’m very happy with the chaos. The chaos is good and we can exploit it.
