Protesters last year made “Defund the Police” their slogan, but fewer than one in five voters think America should spend less on police, and a majority want to spend more.
A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters believe America needs to spend more on police, while only 18% think the country should spend less on police. Twenty-three percent (23%) say the current amount of funding for police is about right.
