2005: Civil War II: The Coming Breakup of America
This is an American article I published on AfricanCrisis from another website.

Today I’m busy, I’ve set aside most of the day to go through emails, technical recommendations and advice from my supporters on this problem of comments on my websites.

My big problem has been that I get a LOT of comments. On HistoryReviewed for example there is well over 2,000; perhaps about 2,500 unapproved comments. Comment management has been a nightmare and I’ve just thrown it aside for the last 3 years because I have higher priorities.

But now I’m going through all kinds of technical recommendations and examining what’s possible.

By the end of today I want to have at least one website running on something new. If I’m lucky, I will do it on both of my main websites if I am confident about it.

Among the huge problems with comments are also spammers who move in and post junk comments. I see that everywhere, and many of them, these days are amazingly subtle even. They will post comments that seem almost like a genuine comment.

So watch this space.
