I was browsing through it and it makes for interesting reading. They are of course hostile to him but nevertheless there is some good reading.

I see that at Brown university they said he had the worst scholastic record of anyone who had attended but in the aptitude tests he had the highest score they had ever had. In other words he had raw, natural talent.

Something else to keep in mind is that Rockwell rose to the rank of Commander in the NAVY. That is not something to be sneezed at. That is the same as lieutenant colonel in the Army. That is one rank above Major I think. So that would put him ABOVE that of a mid-ranking officer. You don’t get to those ranks by being an idiot. That is quite an achievement actually. One more promotion would have made him a Colonel which is a serious rank.
