There has been a lot of very intensive fighting in the last week or two. The Ukrainians made all kinds of small advances in places like Bakhmut and all along the line in the Zaporizhia area.
They’re fighting all along the line though, but to me it seems as if the North East is really a difficult area to advance in, and it’s more pointless there. I did discuss this in my video 7 or so weeks ago.
Bakhmut does not interest me much because it’s not an important strategic place. But the Russians turned it into something of significance. However, the Ukranians are making advances around it. However, this is only of significance with regard to hurting RUSSIAN MORALE. The place otherwise has no value. Wagner and the Russian Army fought there for about 11 months and now it’s already not going well there.
The real action is further to the West. All along the line Ukrainians have been launching all kinds of attacks. Some with armour and some with infantry. And they’ve made all kinds of small gains. Sometimes they retreated a bit. But they advanced 1 Km at some times.
However, there is one area, where it seems the Ukranians have made a nice advance. They moved forward by about 3 Km on a front that is 16 Km wide. That is very significant.
It seems they might have broken deeper into Russian territory, and this has been independently confirmed.
The Russian defence lines are very deep and the Russians seem to have enormous mine fields long before you get to the Russian defence lines. The Russians have 3 defence lines. The Ukranians are getting closer to the really heavy stuff. The battlefield is fluid and things are moving forward and backwards. There have been times when the Ukrainians move forward by up to 3 Km. So they’ve got some niches they captured. But the 16 x 3 Km area is by far the biggest. However there may be more. They might even have reached a village.
The data coming in, is running even a few days late. So the real situation could be even more different than what we are seeing today.
But the bottom line is that it does look as if the Ukrainians are definitely starting to bite into the heavier Russian defences.
Note: 90% of the data we are getting is what the Russians are releasing or which is slipping out through the cracks. But it is clear also that Ukrainian missiles and the incredible American Himars are hitting hard.
The most number of Russians killed in a single day so far, is what I heard today, and that is 900 Russians killed in 24 hours. That is very hectic. It used to be about 400 or so a day.
Another interesting development is that as I said, some Ukrainians are moving BEHIND RUSSIAN LINES! That could be something that will come into play and assist the Ukrainians later. I saw info on 2 such Partisans capturing a Russian soldier.
The so-called FREE Russians who are operating in Russia, might actually still be fighting there. Due to the news blackout we don’t know. But I have seen some evidence that the Free Russians might even have killed a Russian Colonel who was in charge of the troops sent to kill the Free Russians. It is as if the Free Russians are roaming around, perhaps even close to Belgorod. I can’t be sure, but it seems as if something is still afoot inside Russian territory.
The Ukrainian armoured fist of 9 Brigades is still most UNUSED. They’ve only used a tiny portion of the vehicles they have. So all the rest are still there to be used more and more intensively.
The real military goal is to try to break through all the heavy Russian lines. This could take a long time. I don’t know how long. Maybe weeks. But the hope is to find a place where they truly break all the way through and then they call in the Western tanks and bash through that hole and go wild in the Russian rear and race around like crazy deep inside Russian controlled territory.
So that’s the military game plan. But it’s looking like this thing is slowly coming together. Next week will be even crazier. The daily death tolls will remain high.
We are only seeing a tiny portion of what is really going on. Out there, it is hell.
