WW2: The Italians were a LOT better than people realise: Italian Armoured Death Ride – Sicily 1943

[This is a British military academic. Listen to what he says about the Italians in WW2. I have heard Germans who fought with the Italians praising them, especially their pilots. I think there were Italians on the Eastern Front even as far forward as Stalingrad. The real problems the Italians faced, in my opinion all came from Mussolini himself. He had a real lack of understanding of military stuff. He was nothing as good as Hitler. Mussolini also had a lot of JEWS in his Fascist party and I think one of his female lovers was Jewish too. Mussolini made the most ridiculous moves that caused problems for Europe and for the Germans. His attack on Albania and war against the Greeks was totally stupid and counterproductive for all Whites. Believe it or not, but his invasion of North Africa made more military sense. He's criticised for this, but it did have serious military value. Anyhow, this analysis of the Italians is most useful. Italy helped White South Africans too during their war here in Africa under Apartheid. We had quite a few Italians in SA. Many of them came from being POW's at the end of WW2 and they liked South Africa. The Italians are very clever and their engineering is good. Don't knock them. Italy is a powerful European country that is OFTEN totally overlooked. Jan]
