[I think this shows a sign of weakness on Putin's side. It also seems as if Biden has signed into law money for Ukraine until the end of 2026. So it might be that the US is going to support Ukraine for several years. Then there's the growing militarisation of Poland and Germany. I think the West is very happy with the Russian losses in Ukraine and they will continue fighting. It may be that as the years go by, the European countries will take up the American slack. I don't think the war is going well for Putin. The Russians have lost a lot of troops – far more than Ukraine. Jan]
