Video & Audio: The Big Battle: How White Rhodesians relearned warfare the Ancient Greek way
Modern Western War is really a direct offshoot of the intensive, decisive, quick battles that the Ancient Greeks waged among themselves.
[It turns out to be quite a mystery as to HOW the Ukrainians did this. Regarding the purpose: I think this is a large scale diversion raid which has the intended to suck as many Russian resources in there for quite some time. I am hearing constant mention of 2 Brigades of troops (20,000 men), but I am thinking that the actual forces might be a lot less. Nobody really knows. I think the Ukrainians will retreat back into Ukraine, when the Russians can actually fight them hard and push them back. I think the goal is a DIVERSION, and they want to see how long they can keep the Russians busy. Ukraine has some interesting strategies like hitting deep into Russia. Recently they had a strike 2,000 Km into Russia. I think it's part of a wider military strategy to force the Russians to disperse their forces into more and more places. Jan]
