[These are the forces that will fight the Ukrainians. The key thing to see is how well the Ukrainians and Free Russians can hold out in this fighting. Although I have concluded that the Ukrainian attack is a diversion, I think it will be a diversion where they will try to bog down the Russians and try to see how long they can hold on to this little piece of territory before retreating into Ukraine. In the past they fought for short periods of time like a day or two in Russia, but I think the Ukrainians are feeling confident that they can bog the Russians down for quite some time. Remember, this is very close to the Ukrainian border so the Ukrainians have anti-air weapons and artillery and rockets close by. So they could set up a defensive area and make it pretty difficult for the Russians to win. Also, the information seems to indicate that they have very experienced battle hardened troops in this attack. Their goal might be to try and bog the Russians down for days at the very least and possibly even weeks or longer if it is possible. They might be able to inflict quite a lot of losses on the Russians when the Russians slowly grind them back. I don't know how many Ukrainians are there. Some analysts have been saying 20,000 men or even 30,000 men, but it doesn't seem to be that many to me. If it is 20,000 men then it would be a very hectic fight and maybe they can bog the Russians down for weeks or even longer perhaps. I suspect the Ukrainians learned a lot from the previous incursions into Russian territory and they might see some opportunities here to bog the Russians down and give them a hard time.
