I was amazed to discover today that Ukraine’s electricity comes from a number of nuclear power plants. I had never been aware of this. And the Russians have now captured the biggest one.
I did not realise how much of the old Soviet Union’s nuclear infrastructure, including Chernobyl lay in Ukraine!
