Video: Tom Metzger & Jan: Life in Germany 1950s & Meeting the Japanese Right Wing
This is my first interview with Tom Metzger. We discuss his early life and how things led to him becoming involved in racial politics. We discuss his time in the US Army and when he was deployed to Germany for 2 years in the 1950s.
[That 5 pointed star and Jews also came up in the Great Jewish mask. There are lots of newspapers in the world with RED 5 pointed star, and that star, I think was the original communist symbol. Here in SA one of our big Jew owned liberal "white" newspapers is: "THE STAR" but you never see the symbol of "The Star". But if you look across the world there are lots of newspapers called The Star, or the Morning Star or something like that. And when you see "The Star" it is a 5 sided RED STAR that I think was a communist star. Jan]
The five-pointed red star is widely recognized as a symbol of communism and socialism. It became an iconic emblem associated with various communist movements, parties, and states around the world.
Historical Context
Origins: The red star emerged as a symbol during the Russian Revolution of 1917. It was adopted by the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, who used it to represent the Red Army and the broader revolutionary movement.
Symbolism: The red color traditionally symbolizes the blood of workers and revolutionaries who fought for socialism. The five points of the star are often said to represent the five fingers of the worker’s hand or the five continents, indicating the global reach of communism.
Adoption by Communist States: The red star was prominently featured on the flags, emblems, and military insignia of the Soviet Union and other communist states, such as China, North Korea, and Vietnam. It also appeared on the flags and logos of various communist parties worldwide.
Modern Use
Current Symbolism: Today, the red star remains a powerful symbol of communism, socialism, and anti-capitalist movements. It is still used by some political parties and organizations that align with communist or socialist ideologies.
While the red star has strong associations with communism, it has also been used in other contexts, though those are less common.
