The Final, Horrible Months of Germany in WW2 – Some new thoughts on the final determination of the Germans

While reading through the memoirs of 3 different senior German Generals, it amazes me how well the Germans were fighting even down to the last days of the war.
When I first was interested in Napoleon, I focused for years on the "good years" of victories, and avoided reading about the defeats and the decline of his Empire. It’s been the same with Hitler. I have not been interested in the final, horrible times of defeat and decline.
Well, when I read about Napoleon’s defeats and decline, I actually found it amazingly interesting. I found that it gave me a lot more to think about and quite a lot of it was actually very amazing and inspiring. For example, Napoleon’s campaign of 1814, before he abdicated the first time, was one hell of a campaign. It was simply astounding … some of it, as he fought massively outnumbered.
Well returning to Hitler and NAZI Germany’s final days, I am getting ever more impressed with the final days. Just like with Napoleon and the French, I did not expect to find anything interesting in those dreadful final months, weeks and days.
But instead I find myself being amazed by various things the Germans are doing. There is a lot to comment on, but with Hitler’s death about 2 or 3 days away, and Germany’s final surrender maybe less than 2 weeks away, there are still German units fighting inside Berlin and building defensive positions. The Russians have not even attacked them. They are busy digging in and preparing to fight the Russians. Also, even more amazing was to read of German officers needing places to work and how others come and are busy setting up everything needed for them to function in proper offices.
But the most impressive is the fight that is left in many Germans even as the Russians are getting to the capital. Even in the final months the Germans are constantly organising and setting up defenses and are fighting for every inch of Germany.
I was absolutely amazed at how determined the Germans were.
I was very impressed.
The thought of whether Hitler could have lasted longer has come to mind. I will probably discuss this in a video.

In this youll hear Jake, the American saying that the worst of Germany (the old, the young, the prisoners), very nearly defeated the VERY BEST of America!

Professor Quigley was hated by the White Right in the 1960s. The bulk of this video is 40 pages specially removed from his 1966 book, Tragedy and Hope, which deal with the Jewish Rothschilds, banking and Whites and Jews who played a big role in capitalism.
