The Police have arrested two additional suspects in connection with the farm attack that took place at Roedtan on Friday night, 7 October 2022.

The suspects were arrested at different locations in Moletjie outside Seshego.

A 34-year-old male suspect was apprehended at Ga-Chokwe village and his accomplice aged 44 was nabbed at Mmotong wa Perekisi, Ga-Mokgokong village under Seshego policing area.

Five suspects entered the farm house at Derde Kraal house under Roedtan policing area pretending to buy milk. They took firearms, cell phones, laptop and other valuables. The farmer, Mr. Janse van Rensburg was in the process disarmed and shot dead.

One of the suspects, Albert Mangena aged 33, was arrested at Moletji outside Seshego the next day on Saturday 8 October 2022 and had already appeared in court on Monday 10 October 2022. He was remanded in custody until 24 October 2022.

The latest two suspects are appearing in Mookgopong magistrate’s court today on Friday 14 October 2022. The hunt for the remaining two suspects is continuing.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has commended the investigating team for these arrests and has appealed to community members to assist the police by providing information on the remaining suspects.
