Video: How Rhodesia & South Africa killed 1 million+ Blacks after Portuguese Collapse
This is the story of something that the Rhodesians kicked off in desperation after the Portuguese had collapsed. Its effect lasted decades and huge numbers of Blacks died and it had massive effects on a Black nation. In this video I also discuss many deeper things including my discussions with President PW Botha.
[I know more details about this, from people close to this, and I think there is no chance that this man is alive. Kidnapping of Whites seems to be something the Blacks are doing much more. Normally they do this for a ransom. But in this case, I know various details, and I think he was murdered. A bakkie is a pickup truck. His pickup truck was found in a neighbouring Black state. Jan]
Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp – Deon Nel van Wolmaransstad’s disappearance has captured readers’ imaginations for the last two weeks.
The question on everyone’s lips is what happened to the 30-year-old farmer and how could he just disappear without a trace? Klerksdorp Rekord heard this week that the search for him is currently focusing on an unused ventilation shaft outside Stilfontein on the Vermaasdrifpad which is 1.8 km deep.
According to police spokeswoman Col. Adele Myburgh, the police are following up on all leads and this led them to the shaft.
Specialist teams from the police and mine proto teams went some distance down the shaft to look for him after the police received information that his body had been thrown down there. "We did not find a body. So at this stage we cannot say that Nel is dead. However, blood was found at the scene. Samples have been taken and DNA testing will determine if they belong to Nel.
"His family is constantly being kept informed of the investigation," she said.
A spokesperson for The Pink Ladies, a group that runs a database for missing persons, told Klerksdorp Rekord that they suspect Nel is dead.
"It’s so sad. Lately we have seen several cases of men being kidnapped and ending up like that. It’s terrible," said Jacqui Thomas.
Nel, or Stompie as he was known, visited a bar in Wolmaransstad on Wednesday 5 July and when he left there, he was not seen again. A private detective is helping to look for him and the reward of R100 000 still stands for information that can lead investigators to the 30-year-old farmer. Contact Johan Coetzee aka Boontjies on 083 585 4504 with information.
A man and woman who were arrested at a house in Randlespark with van Nel’s belongings, as well as bloodstained clothes that apparently belonged to him, appeared again in the magistrate’s court on Monday 17 July. They decided not to apply for bail. The case was adjourned until August 29. Their identities are still being withheld. Nel’s bakkie was located in Lesotho.
