[I love this quote from Napoleon about Frederick. Napoleon said this when he conquered Prussia, which had been ruled by Frederick quite a long time before. Napoleon knew that if Frederick were alive, that he’d have kicked their French asses SOLIDLY! Napoleon was in awe of Frederick, and Hitler too asked the Wehrmacht to perform for him as they had performed for Frederick.
I also discovered that Frederick carried poison with him so that if he failed, he would kill himself… a precursor to Hitler, where death is preferable in the event of failure.
