DOJ will probe Harvard, Columbia, others for failing to protect Jewish students

A federal antisemitism task force announced Friday it plans to visit 10 college campuses to assess whether they need “remedial action.”

The task force will visit Columbia University, George Washington University, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, New York University, Northwestern University, University of California, Los Angeles, University of California, Berkeley, University of Minnesota, and the University of Southern California, according to a Justice Department news release.

These schools were chosen because they have seen a rise in antisemitism following the October 2023 terrorist attacks by Hamas against Israeli citizens.

The U.S. Department of Justice’s Federal Task Force to Combat Antisemitism “will meet with university leaders, impacted students and staff, local law enforcement and community members as it gathers information about these incidents.”

Leading task force member Leo Terrell notified the universities Thursday that the team is aware of claims suggesting the schools may have neglected to protect Jewish students and faculty from illegal discrimination, possibly breaching federal law.

“The President, Attorney General Pamela Bondi, and the entire Administration are committed to ensuring that no one should feel unsafe or unwelcome on campus because of their religion,” Terrell stated.

“The Task Force’s mandate is to bring the full force of the federal government to bear in our effort to eradicate Anti-Semitism, particularly in schools. These visits are just one of many steps this Administration is taking to deliver on that commitment,” he stated.

Following President Trump’s recent Executive Order on Additional Measures to Combat Antisemitism, the Justice Department created the multi-agency task force last month to “root out anti-Semitic harassment in schools and on college campuses,” according to an earlier news release.

In a parallel effort, the Department of Education launched an antisemitism investigation into four of the same universities—Columbia, the University of California, Berkeley, Northwestern University, and the University of Minnesota. The department will also investigate Portland State University, The Hill reported.

The investigations follow a December U.S. House of Representatives report which found that universities “granted shocking concessions” to “antisemitic encampments” and neglected to “enforce their rules and impose meaningful discipline,” The College Fix previously reported.

What’s more, the Anti-Defamation League released its 2025 Campus Report Card Monday, giving 42 schools a “D” or “F” grade.

In response, Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg stated in a news release the report is “a painful reminder of the scourge of antisemitism that is infecting colleges across our country. Too often, we hear of terrorist-supporting mobs overtaking academic buildings, harassing Jewish students, and causing chaos on campuses—clearly breaking the rules laid out by schools.”

“Now that this horrific activity has been exposed, it is time for university heads to take action … Follow through on your promises to keep Jewish students safe! Your failure to do so will not be tolerated,” he said.

Video & Audio: S.Africa: Court sentenced Chickens to Death for Witchcraft!
The South African courts, especially the lower courts are becoming very unstable in the way they work, and even, as my attorney says, ludicrous. He mentions just one court case, where a South African Court found chickens guilty of the Crime of Witchcraft. The chickens were sentenced to death and all were executed!!
