Dear NDP

I hear that there is another “Million person walk” against SOGI is in the works. That makes me ask, does the NDP provincial caucus intend to show up as counter protestors again? If so, I will be forced to vote Conservative in the upcoming provincial election this time. Which is a shame because I was a committed NDP member and supporter for the first 30 years of my adult life.

Yes, I am that old. I am so old that I remember Tommy Douglas saying, in the Great TV Debate with Robert Stanfield and Pierre Trudeau in June of 1968 that, homosexuality was a mental disorder but not a moral flaw, and that while homosexuals deserved our compassion, their lifestyle and orientation did not require our endorsement. How times have changed!

Were he alive today, Douglas would undoubtedly amend the remarks he made back then. To do otherwise would be political suicide. But I am certain that he still would know what a woman was. He would also contest the absurd proposition that someone with XY chromosomes could become a female simply by “identifying” as such, no less that he be allowed to compete with female athletes or live alongside of female convicts in federal or provincial prisons. Or give birth, for crying out loud.

Most especially, he would never countenance a policy that would allow minors to undergo chemical mutilation or surgical procedures to change their genitalia with or without parental input and approval.

Your embrace of Marxist gender theory is outrageous and shameful. You are definitely not the NDP of my youth, nor the NDP (or CCF) my parents and grandparents voted for.

You are not only disgraceful, but MAD.

I still can’t believe that I need to say that. I could never have believed, even 15 years ago, that this society or your party would regress to this level of insanity and depravity.

I will not only vote for the Conservative Party this time round, but financially support it. And I will fervently support any organized effort to resist you.

Once I was a socialist. A democratic socialist. But never a Communist. Or a Marxist. I stood, like T.C. Douglas did, for the family and family values. And I still believe that children need both a male and a female role model in the home. Not two daddies or two mummies, or dare I say, a mentally ill, gender-confused parent. And they don’t need Drag Queens to tell them stories either. That is what moms and dads once did habitually.

Thank the Lord I had the benefit of being a child in the 1950s. Like other kids, I often imagined myself as a cowboy or a warrior or a prince or a space alien. But fortunately for my parents, there wasn’t an NDP government caucus or School Board then that coerced parents into indulging or encouraging these periodic delusional states. Imagine if I had wanted to be physically mutilated to resemble a little Green man from Mars, or an amphibian from a distant planet with vast oceans, complete with gills and fins and octopus-like appendages, and the provincial government assisted the transition despite parental objections. I would have made an irrevocable decision at the mere age of 7 or 8, and would have had to live with it for the rest of my life The only consolation being that since I was henceforth equipped with a superior extra-terrestrial intelligence, I would no longer support or vote for the NDP.

The foregoing is not just a Christian perspective, but a scientific one as well. Ask Richard Dawkins Gender theory is not founded on scientific facts. Notwithstanding what a CBC documentary claims.

I shall end it there, because honestly, I can’t find enough invectives to hurl at you.

Be thankful that strict gun laws are in place.
