An American in California says: People are fleeing in a way not seen before…

I’ll be brief since you are busy. I just wanted to mention a strange thing that is going on in my area of California. Lots of people have already left the state and I think many are getting ready to, in case it gets bad enough (crime, immigrants, cost of living.) Every day I see in the Next Door app (neighborhood news, probably spying on us) people who are giving away all their possessions, having garage sales where they say "everything cheap", or giving away formerly treasured items like a grandfather clock, an antique Victorian rocking chair, and a baby grand piano. I gather the consignment stores and charity organizations must be saturated with donations so for speed, people give their things away. It feels like waiting for the apocalypse.
