A QUICK UKRAINE WAR UPDATE & ANALYSIS AS AT: 2024-10-08 – KURSK INVASION STATUS

I just want to give folks a quick update regarding the Ukraine war.

KURSK: So far the Russians only launched one huge attack to try to drive the Ukrainians out of Kursk, and they gained about 2 villages and then they ran out of steam. I’ve not seen any Kursk updates in well over a week. Putin had wanted the whole area back by early October. As predicted, that did not happen. Kursk is actually looking amazingly good for the Ukrainians.

Interestingly, I’ve seen a chart of the intensity of the war from the beginning to now, and the number of men killed per day on both sides has been rising since the start of the war. Initially Russian casualties were 300 per day, then a year later it was 600 per day, now it’s over 1,200 per day. Divide by 3 to get the actual DEATHS. Last Month, September had the biggest number of Russian casualties since the war started, and though the Russians have advanced a bit in the last week or two, they still don’t have Prokovsk.

Something else that will affect the Russians and Ukrainians is that by the end of October, with rain, MUD sets in. Then the armour will really struggle. They have incredible amounts of mud.
