[A deaf supporter wrote to me and asked me if I could put captions on my videos. Jan]
I replied:
I am sorry to hear that you are deaf. That must be horrific. So you read my website? I’ve never had a deaf supporter write to me before.
To put captions on my videos would be an insane amount of work. So do you actually watch my videos? But if you do, can’t you hear anything at all?
That must be dreadful. I’ll try to remember to have more writing on videos. But I can’t promise much because to make captions would be a ton of work. Youtube puts captions in videos but they have computers that do that. Since I am banned off youtube, I don’t have those facilities. They have some fancy software that converts voice into captions. I don’t have that technology at all. I don’t think one can get that easily.
