Why do the minds of people in a family vary so much?

I replied:
This is very interesting. It is something I can’t explain either. It’s something I’ve wondered about. I notice it with all families. And it is to me, one of the sad things about parents. The children are definitely of your body. They look like you. But their minds seem to be totally different. I have wondered if it has something to do with evolution. I have wondered if having minds that look at things differently results in the best outcome in the long run. One’s mind is definitely formed by your experiences and your knowledge. But the question is, why can you see some things and the rest of your family can’t?

This is a thing I’ve noticed on many levels with people. I can’t explain it.
