JOHANNESBURG – Taverners and illegal liquor traders in some of Cape Town’s townships say they will continue selling alcohol despite a ban.

They say it is the most profitable time for them and that enforcing an alcohol ban doesn’t stop people from drinking.
On Sunday, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the sale of alcohol for both off-site and on-site consumption is prohibited for 14 days.
