As of January 3, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 9,775,425 while over 189,911,566 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 228,777 and 8,666,186 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases: 3,472,436 and 91,228 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 966,777 ), Tunisia ( 728,260 ), Ethiopia ( 426,656 ), Libya ( 389,650 ) Egypt ( 387,159 ) and Kenya ( 298,509 ).
