[I spotted these numbers which are a LOT lower than anything I've seen before. I think the British estimates are much higher. If these numbers are true then it's good for Russia. I posted a note the other day that 117,000 Russians had been killed, but if the actual death toll of the Russians is only 47,000 then that's really great news for the Russians. Jan]
- The Sun reported that US intelligence estimates total Russian military casualties in Ukraine as 188,000 as of January 20, suggesting a possible 47,000 Russians killed in action in less than a year of fighting.
