[Musk plays a strange game. Jan]

WASHINGTON (TND) — X owner Elon Musk met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the prime minister’s address to Congress on Wednesday.

Netanyahu’s address sparked anti-Israel demonstrations across Washington, D.C. Chanting protesters took to the streets waving Palestinian flags and pounding drums as he spoke.

Musk, who attended the address as Netanyahu’s guest, met with the prime minister afterwards to talk about artificial intelligence.

“Yesterday, after my address to Congress, I met with @elonmusk in Washington,” Netanyahu wrote via X. “We discussed the opportunities and challenges in AI, its impact on the economy and society, and explored ways for technological cooperation with Israel.”

The meeting furthers the longstanding relationship between the two. Musk in November met with Netanyahu in Israel following the outbreak of its war with Hamas. During the visit, Musk and Netanyahu toured kibbutz Kfar Aza, the area where Hamas terrorists launched their deadly assault on Oct. 7.

Despite his ongoing support for the Jewish state, Musk continues to face allegations of antisemitism. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Wednesday replied to Musk via X with a screenshot of an article accusing him of sharing antisemitic content on X.

“Hmm,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said in the reply. “Sometimes being quiet is free and good for you.”
