Israel has come to Ukraine’s rescue as Russia continues to pound its cities. The Israeli military is reportedly planning to test its early warning system in Kyiv. Israel also aims to make this missile warning system ‘operational on priority.’ These systems are ‘more capable’ than Ukraine’s existing missile detection technology. However, unlike in Israel, these proposed system set for deployment in Ukraine will feature alerts only, without interception capabilities. Ukraine had urged Jerusalem to supply it with missile interceptor capabilities. But Israel has so far refused, as it seeks to avoid overly Antagonising Russia.
