I did a bit of quick investigation into TymeBank, which says it’s the first digital-only bank in SA. Personally, having worked a lot in banking, I would say it’s long overdue that banks go 100% digital. I have now uncovered what exactly is going on here. TymeBank has 500,000 customers and started in February 2019. It is aimed at the black masses and therefore Jews have dived into it.
The Jewish-owned supermarket chain, Pick ‘n Pay, owned by the Jewish billionaire Raymond Ackerman serves as the main physical infrastructure for the bank.

TymeBank is on track to have 500,000 clients within the next three weeks, according to parent company African Rainbow Capital Investments (ARC Investments).
The digital bank, which was launched in February and operates via kiosks at Pick n Pay and Boxer Stores, has signed up more than 400,000 clients to date, Patrice Motsepe’s ARC Investments said on Monday.

So this bank is not linked to the people I had suspected might have come from the bank I worked for. This is a Jewish/Black initiative. This might be an attempt to play on the success of CAPITEC bank which was created by a white man and which focused on simple banking for blacks, and which many whites make use of.

The bank charges no fees, and I was quite surprised by the high interest rate they pay on monies in the bank: 7%.
So there is still no cryptocurrency bank. That is something I’m keen on. But I suspect there are lots of roadblocks to that idea.
